Job Description
We are looking to recruit either a part-time or full-time Community Accountant. We are based in Blaydon Shopping Centre, but as a fully digital accountancy firm, we work across the whole of the UK. We are a fast-growing, tech savvy, firm and are on the lookout for someone who is AAT/CIMA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) to join the team.
The successful candidate will help support the rapidly growing client base, providing financial advice and services.
Job Profile/Responsibilities
Proficient in all aspects of bookkeeping and maintaining accurate financial records (manual and computerised)
Preparation of year end accounts compliant to FRS102A
Preparation of corporation tax returns
Preparation of client management accounts and VAT returns for senior manager review
Handling client queries via Teams, Zoom, telephone and email.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within practice
Proficient in the use of accounting software, particularly Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent and Microsoft 365
A can-do attitude to work with the ability to be flexible in your approach
Willingness to learn and grow.
Desirable Skills
Experience working within the non-profit sector
Experience working with people with disabilities and/or long-term health conditions
Experience using TaxCalc and Engager.App.
